Stripper Song Surprise
I guess even stripper songs can be a big success. T-Pain found this out first hand with one of his most popular tracks.
His big break came from his work as a DJ in Tallahassee. He did a song called “I’m – - – - – - Up,” a takeoff on Akon’s hit about prison life, “Locked Up,” which became popular in the Florida clubs. Word of it eventually reached Akon, who signed T-Pain to his Konvict Music label. “I jacked his beat, basically,” says T-Pain, who had gotten an advance promotional vinyl copy of Akon’s record.
